As a child Frieda Wishinsky wanted to become a famous scientist but she became a writer instead. We are
glad that she did. Her picture books, novels and non-fiction books have won awards and entertained children
for many years. Please, Louise was a Blue Spruce nominee. This fall, Frieda’s newest picture books will be
published: You’re mean Lily Jean and Maggie can’t wait. She is also the author of the popular Canadian Flyer
Adventures. Frieda loves sharing the writing process with children at all levels.
